Personal biography
I am a queer social worker, psychosexual and relationship therapist. My educational background includes undergraduate studies in Social Work, followed by postgraduate specialisation in Psychosexual Therapy at the University of Sydney.
I undertake a holistic approach to my work, recognizing the complex intersections of culture, religion, ability, gender, sexuality, race, and class. I am dedicated to empowering clients to achieve sexually satisfying and pleasurable lives. I merge my social work expertise with clinical sexology, challenging cultural and societal norms through advocacy, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions to promote sexual empowerment.
I employ a trauma-informed perspective and affirm queerness in practice.
I utilise various therapeutic modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, and Gottman’s Couples Therapy, tailoring my approach to suit each client's individual needs and preferences. I also draw upon skills learnt from other therapeutic modalities such as Transactional Analysis and Internal Family Systems.
